I have been using a new laptop for the last couple of weeks now, my old one having almost but not quite given up the ghost.
Fortunately, I had transferred most of my writing onto a thumb drive for backup. Unfortunately, I don't believe the backup included either my new Dominique Duvalier story, nor a couple of stories featuring The Crew. Too bad, too, because the Duvalier story is one of the best humorous pieces of writing I've done, in my own opinion.
But these are my babies and I am determined to rescue them from the old laptop. Stay tuned.
